Entry into EEU will not affect sovereignty of Armenia – Deputy Minister
Joining the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) will not harm the sovereignty of Armenia, Armenia’s Deputy Finance Minister Suren Karayan said in the parliament.
He said that the treaty stipulates that the sovereignty of the EEU member states will not be affected. In addition, the official said, all decisions within the EEU are made by deputy prime ministers, prime ministers and presidents of the member states.
Mr Karayan also said that accession to the economic union will not restrict Armenia’s cooperation with other countries and unions.
