Sanctions against Russia will ease in March - economist
Armenia is entering the ruble zone, so it has to share the losses of the ruble, sociologist Aharon Adibekyan told reporters on Monday.
According to the sociologist, state employees, people receiving allowances, and pensioners suffer most as a result of this situation. He also spoke about the role of government’s assistance. He noted in particular that the government must first of all index the allowances and pensions.
Economist Vilen Khachatryan said for his part that the sanctions against Russia will ease in March 2015. In his words, then the Russian ruble will restore its value and as a result, the remittances to Armenia will have higher purchasing power.
