Over 80 percent of Americans expect Islamic State to attack US – poll
A total of 81 percent of those Americans polled by Fox News expect Islamic State (IS) to launch an attack on the United States in the near future, Sputnik reported.
The majority of those Americans polled expect the extremist group to attack, including 48 percent who think it is "very likely," according to the poll released Wednesday. Moreover, 21 percent put Islamic State only second to the president's list of priorities, and 56 percent disapprove Obama's handling of the Islamic extremist group.
Another 59 percent of those polled think that if the United States captures IS terrorists, the prisoners should be taken to the Guantanamo Bay detention center in Cuba instead of a federal prison.
The job Barack Obama is doing as president is disapproved by 53 percent of those polled, and 57 percent say they specifically do not support the president on the foreign policy.
The Fox News poll is based on telephone interviews conducted December 7 through December 9 with 1,043 registered US voters.
