Armenian villager injured by Azerbaijani sniper fire
A resident of border village Berkaber in Armenia’s Tavush province was wounded by Azerbaijani sniper fire on Saturday, Berkaber village administrator Arthur Madatyan told Panorama.am.
“Now, we are in Ijevan’s hospital. Fortunately, the injuries are not life threatening. The villager was wounded in his legs,” said the administrator.
Madatyan noted that the young man was at the village well when the sniper fire hit him. “The shots aimed to kill him. Shots were fired until they hit the man. The sniper shots also targeted another man who managed to hide behind a house,” he said.
The village head also said that Azerbaijan constantly fires towards the village, but this time the village was a target of sniper fire.
