Institute of Armenian government’s representative to ECHR marks 10th anniversary
The institute of Armenian government’s accredited representative at the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) has become fully established, said Alvina Gyulumyan, member of Armenia’s Constitutional Court, former judge at ECHR.
The institute of Armenian government’s accredited representative at the ECHR is marking its 10th anniversary. On this occasion, the institute has organized an international conference on European human rights standards and role of government’s accredited representative at ECHR in effective protection of human rights.
“The structure has done a considerable work. The violations on which verdicts were passed never recurred in the country,” she said.
“Every modern civilized state tries to develop its legal system, based on the principle of human dignity, protection of human rights and freedoms,” said Gevorg Kostanyan, Armenia’s Prosecutor General, Armenian government’s accredited representative at the ECHR.
