Heated autumn promised by opposition never came – expert
The process of accession to the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) was the most significant event for Armenia in the passing year, political scientist Alexander Iskandaryan told reporters on Monday.
In the expert’s view, that process is unlikely to be completed by January 1, 2015. He noted that there are certain problems within the EEU. The sanctions against Russia, the Ukrainian crisis, and the developments in the Arab countries had an impact on Armenia, he said.
Speaking about Armenia’s domestic political situation, Iskandaryan said that reformatting of elites took place. “Opposition’s marginalization and opposition’s split is also taking place,” he said.
The expert added that the heated autumn promised by the opposition never came.
