CBA chairman: Financial situation is under control
The Central Bank of Armenia (CBA) is using all its instruments, it has made decisions regarding various standards and today it has met with bank chiefs, CBA chairman Arthur Javadyan told a press conference on Wednesday in commenting on the measures being taken by the CBA in connection with the currency fluctuations.
He stressed that the situation is under control.
“We are controlling the banks, the participants of the financial markets, but we cannot control the shop owners who raise the prices,” said the official, adding that the CBA is keeping the situation under control.
