Haykakan Zhamanak: Four Armenian banks’ CEOs resign
The heads of four Armenian banks submitted resignations during the past week. It is unknown yet whether these resignations are linked with the recent depreciation of the Armenian dram and tense situation on the currency market, Haykakan Zhamanak writes.
According to the newspaper, the CEOs of Artsakhbank, Inecobank, Areximbank and BTA Bank have resigned.
“CEOs of Artsakhbank and Inecobank submitted resignations on December 17. The head of BTA Bank quit a week ago as he is returning to his homeland, Kazakhstan. Areximbank’s executive is going to Russia for a new job. The reason why the Artsakhbank and Inecobank chiefs resigned remains unknown,” the newspaper says.
