Inflation was artificial, says NGO head
The recent inflation in Armenia was mostly artificial and this is already obvious, Consumers Consulting Center NGO head Karen Chilingaryan told reporters on Monday.
Asked whether those responsible will be punished, he noted that it is up to the government and the respective structures to find the speculators who caused panic. Meanwhile, Chilingaryan said that those guilty are rarely detected and punished.
“The Prime Minister’s reaction helped ease the situation,” he said, adding, however, that the reaction was belated.
