Harutyunyan: Turkish delegation unlikely to come to Armenia
Armenia’s accession to the Eurasian Economic Union is very important in terms of security since Armenia needs to have a nuclear shield, director of Noravank Foundation Gagik Harutyunyan told a press conference on Tuesday.
He noted that Armenia’s joining the EEU was a correct decision, explaining that Armenia could not lose the support of its strategic ally, Russia.
Speaking about the upcoming 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, Harutyunyan said that Armenia should not pin much hopes on it, and should become stronger and rely on itself to resolve the problems with Turkey.
In his view, a Turkish delegation is unlikely to come to Yerevan in 2015 to attend the Genocide commemoration events.
