Presidential Palace hosts New Year event for children from border communities and Syria
Children from a number of border villages, including Chambarak and Vahan villages in Gegharkunik province, Khndzorut, Bardzruni, Khachik and Sers villages in Vayots Dzor province, Yeraskh village in Ararat province, Barekamavan, Berdavan, Dovegh and Baghanis villages in Tavush province and Syrian Armenian children were hosted today at the Armenian Presidential Palace on the occasion of New Year and Christmas, the presidential press service reported.
The children from border communities arrived in the capital a day earlier and apart from the festive event at the Presidential Palace, an additional cultural program was organized for them, which included tours to the History Museum of Armenia and Hovhannes Tumanyan Museum.
The festive events for children will continue at the Presidential Palace on December 25 as well. Children and grandchildren of deceased and disabled freedom fighters, of veterans of the Artsakh Liberation War and servicemen, including those from the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, as well as children with disabilities will be hosted at the Presidential Palace.
