
Russia to allocate $270 million to extend operation of ANPP
The government of Russia is going to discuss the issue of granting $270 million to Armenia for extending the operation of the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant (ANPP), RIA Novosti reports, citing the Russian government’s press service.
On Saturday, Russia and Armenia signed an intergovernmental agreement on cooperation to extend operation of the second energy unit of ANPP. The sides reached an agreement that the funding will be provided by Russia. The $270 million loan will be provided for 15 years.
