Deputy PM notes stabilization of currency rates and prices
At the beginning of the cabinet meeting, Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan asked Deputy Prime Minister Vache Gabrielyan to report the results of the recent monitoring on the financial market.
Gabrielyan said that the currency exchange rates have stabilized and the prices have dropped. “The difference between the sale and purchase rates of currencies makes 3-5 drams, which is within the standard limits,” he said.
“We also received the results of the monitoring of stores conducted by the State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition,” said the official, adding that after the December 17 peak, the prices have dropped considerably and there is a tendency of stabilization.
Gabrielyan also said that the Central Bank will introduce measures to reduce currency fluctuation rates at exchange points.
