Ukraine cuts off power supplies to Crimea again
Without warning, Ukraine cut off power supplies to Crimea on Friday for the second time in a row this week, Crimea’s Fuel and Energy Minister Sergey Yegorov told TASS.
Ukraine lowered power from 650 to 400 megawatts, later - to 180MW and then cancelled the supplies totally, according to him.
Yegorov said he had no information on causes for the shortages.
At the time of reporting, Crimea’s domestic generation is working at maximum capacity.
On Wednesday, Ukraine cut off power supplies to Crimea for several hours. Head of the Black Sea peninsula Sergey Aksyonov called Kiev’s actions “an enemy’s sabotage.”
