About 900 cases of ceasefire violation by the Azerbaijani side were recorded at the Line of Contact between the troops of Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijan on December 21-27, with over 11,000 shots fired against Armenian defense guards from guns of different calibers, the press service of the NKR Defense Ministry said.

Also, Azerbaijani forces tried to infiltrate Armenian defense positions in two directions of the southeastern part of Nagorno-Karabakh Defense Army around 1:30 am on December 25. The enemy used weapons of different calibers, including hand grenades.

The frontline units of the NKR Defense Army reacted in time, and threw the enemy back to their initial positions. The Azerbaijani side suffered losses. No losses are reported by the Armenian side.

In addition, members of Azerbaijani special mission units crossed the inter-position territory in another two directions (eastern and northeastern) and mined some sections.

All the mines were cleared thanks to swift measures. No emergencies were reported during mine clearing.  

The frontline units of the NKR Defense Army keep the frontline situation under control, and take response actions only upon necessity.
