Russian government approves agreement on Russian-Armenian humanitarian response center
The Russian government has approved the agreement on creating a joint humanitarian response center with Armenia.
The center’s activities will focus on elimination of emergency situations in the Caucasus region, the Russian government’s official website reported.
The center will cooperate with the United Nations, the European Union and other international organizations.
The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations has been instructed to conduct talks, in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and sign the agreement on behalf of the government, according to RIA Novosti.
