Divers will be able to get the second black box of the AirAsia plane that crashed in the Java Sea in late December only after they bring to the surface the jet’s wing, a representative of Indonesia's search and rescue agency said on Monday, TASS reported.

The effort to retrieve the flight data recorder will be successful if the divers use oxygen tanks to lift the wing from the of AirAsia flight QZ8501 from the bottom of the Java Sea, he said.

The first flight data recorder has been already taken to Indonesia’s capital Jakarta where experts are to decode information stored in it. The decoding may take up to two weeks.

Bambang Soelistyo, the chief of Indonesia's search and rescue agency, said earlier the black box which fixed all the technical parameters of the flight and the plane is “in a good condition.”

The AirAsia jet A320-200 on QZ8501 flight from Surabaya, Indonesia’s second-largest city, to Singapore, disappeared from the radars 40 minutes after departure on December 28, flying in the area of Kalimantan (Borneo) Island in the Java Sea. The jet was carrying 155 passengers and seven crewmembers.
