Warlick: In upcoming few weeks meeting with foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan may be held
"During the year we have often witnessed that any kind of violence on the front lines creates destabilization, and this can lead to a dangerous escalation of tensions between the parties," said the US co-chair of OSCE Minsk Group James Warlick responding to the question of the Azerbaijani news agency "APA". He added that the date of the next visit of the OSCE Minsk Group to the region has not been determined.
As it is noted in the article, he said, the military operation could nullify efforts to resolve the Nagorno Karabakh conflict peacefully: "In order to hear the views of the parties, we make regular visits to the region. In the next few weeks we may have a meeting with the Ministers of Foreign Affairs," the Chair said, expressing hope that the Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan will meet and will be able to discuss the ways of progress.
"We also hope that the presidents will fulfill their commitments taken in October 2014 in Paris and will continue the dialogue. Solution to the conflict through negotiation is possible only if there is a political will of the parties to work with each other," said James Warlick.
