‘I am against’ initiative: Gyumri murder offender should be tried in Armenia
‘I am against’ initiative has staged a protest near the Armenian Presidential Residence demanding that Russian soldier Valery Permyakov, who is charged with murder of the Avetisyan family in Gyumri, be tried and serve his sentence in Armenia.
David Manukyan, a member of the initiative, told reporters: “We have one clear demand: to hand the criminal over to the Armenian law enforcers. Now, everyone is concerned about the issue of where he will serve his sentence.”
Another protest action will take place outside the Russian Embassy in Yerevan today.
