Seryozha Avetisyan’s surgery was successful – Ministry of Health
Thanks to efforts of the physicians, the surgery of the child survivor of Gyumri murder was successful. It lasted 20 minutes, Armenian Ministry of Health said.
Seryozha Avetisyan is at an intensive care unit. He remains in a critical but stable condition.
Anahit Haytayan, a spokeswoman for the Armenian Ministry of Health, told Panorama.am earlier that the baby was undergoing surgery. “Further details will be provided after the operation. A physician from Saint Petersburg participates in the surgery,” she said.
Six members of one family, including a two-year-old child, were shot dead in Gyumri on Monday. The baby was hospitalized with stab wounds on the chest.
