Haykakan Zhamanak: Referendum on enlargement of Armenian communities planned
The Armenian government plans to hold a referendum on the enlargement of about 20 communities in Tavush, Lori and Shirak provinces, Haykakan Zhamanak writes.
“There are some grounds to suppose that administrative levers will be used during the referendums to secure a positive outcome, despite the fact that most residents of those communities have a negative attitude to the enlargement plan. Nevertheless, it seems that a political decision on the community enlargement has already been made,” the newspaper says.
