Vardan Petrosyan’s lawyer to appeal to ECHR
The lawyer of famous Armenian actor Vardan Petrosyan, who is accused of causing a road accident that killed two people, plans to appeal to the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) with the request to recognize Vardan Petrosyan’s imprisonment as illegal.
At the last court hearing, the prosecutor requested 6.5 years in prison for Vardan Petrosyan.
“We hope that ECHR will establish a violation of the convention and the Vardan Petrosyan case will be brought to its conclusion,” lawyer Nikolay Baghdasaryan told reporters on Thursday.
