NKR Defense Army: Azerbaijan attempts subversive raids, suffers losses
On January 22 and overnight to January 23, Azerbaijani forces tried to infiltrate the Armenian positions in the eastern and northeastern directions of the Line of Contact with Nagorno-Karabakh armed forces.
NKR Defense Army’s forces noticed in time the enemy's actions and stopped the advance, throwing the enemy back to their positions, the press service of the NKR Defense Army reported.
The NKR Defense Army suffered no losses. According to preliminary reports, the Azerbaijani army lost 3 servicemen.
In addition, Azerbaijan violated the ceasefire about 320 times along the Line of Contact with Karabakh troops. Over 4,000 shots from guns of various calibers, as well as 60 mm and 82 mm mortars and grenade launchers, were fired towards Armenian frontline positions.
The frontline units of the NKR Defense Army keep the situation under control and take response actions in case of necessity.
