Wounded Armenian soldier in critical condition
The condition of Armenian serviceman Hovhannes Avanesyan, wounded in Friday’s attack by Azerbaijani special units, is extremely critical, Aram Asaturyan, head of the Central Clinical Military Hospital of the Armenian Defense Ministry, told Panorama.am.
“His condition is extremely critical. He has a serious spinal injury. We do everything possible to stabilize his condition,” said the doctor, adding that the soldier is still under the influence of medicines.
On Friday, Azerbaijani special units attacked several military positions in Berd, Tavush province. Armenian forces detected the enemy in time. Fighting took place. It lasted about 30 minutes. Suffering casualties, the enemy was thrown back. Two Armenian servicemen were killed. Hovhannes Avanesyan suffered a serious injury. He underwent surgery in the hospital of Berd.
