Nalbandian: Azerbaijan’s provocative actions do not allow progress in Karabakh conflict
In 2014, Armenia, along with the Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group, continued the steps to reach a peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian told a news conference on Monday.
Meanwhile, the Minister noted that Azerbaijan’s provocative actions, violations of the ceasefire regime, military rhetoric, subversive penetration attempts on Armenia-Azerbaijan border and Karabakh-Azerbaijan Line of Contact have increased considerably over the recent period and this does not allow progress in the implementation of the key principles of conflict settlement, as well as in the establishment of mutual trust.
Asked about the Armenian Foreign Ministry’s delayed reaction to Azerbaijan’s provocations, Nalbandian said, “Diplomatic reaction may be in different forms: public statements, phone conversations and working processes, which do not always require coverage.”
He stressed that Armenia informed CSTO, OSCE, Council of Europe and UN about Azerbaijan’s provocations.
