Haykakan Zhamanak: Past New Year most modest in Armenia’s history
Armenia’s trade volumes declined by more than 13 percent in December 2014, as compared to the same period of 2013, Haykakan Zhamanak writes. This means that Armenia’s population bought 13 percent less goods this New Year.
“This is an unprecedented situation. Even during the global economic crisis of 2008-2009 the volumes of New Year trade at least did not decline compared to the previous years. It can be stated that the past New Year was the most modest in the history of Armenia,” the newspaper notes.
