US Vice President vows more costs on Russia over Ukrainian crisis
Vice President Joe Biden told Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko in a phone conversation that Washington will increase costs for Russia if the situation in Ukraine continues to escalate, the White House statement said, according to Sputnik News.
"The Vice President noted that as long as Russia continues its blatant disregard of its obligations under the Minsk agreements, the costs for Russia will continue to rise," the release issued Wednesday read.
During the conversation, the two leaders discussed the continued attacks in eastern Ukraine, which Biden blamed on the independence supporters. The Vice President also accused Russia of violating the Minsk agreements.
