January 29 is International Day of Mobilization against Nuclear War
International Day of Mobilization against Nuclear War is celebrated worldwide on the 29th of January.
The date has been celebrated since 1985 – the year of the adoption of the Delhi Declaration on Non-Violent and Non-Nuclear World.
The Declaration calls for the cessation of the nuclear arms race, the reduction and gradual destruction of nuclear arsenals and elimination of the nuclear war threat. The document was adopted at the meeting of the Heads of State and Government of India, Argentina, Greece, Mexico, Tanzania and Sweden.
