Berberyan: Premature to speak of drought danger
Head of the Agrarian-Peasant Union of Armenia Hrach Berberyan believes it is still early to make forecasts about the agricultural year and a possible drought.
“There is such danger, but we cannot predict the quantity of precipitation for February,” he said.
Speaking about the problems in the agricultural field, he stressed the significance of making legislative changes and eliminating the monopolies.
“There should be competition in this area. According to our estimates, it could lead to 15-20% reduction of water prices,” Berberyan said.
