Hraparak: Facebook access will be banned in EEU member countries?
Russia is trying to restrict, and even ban, access to the Internet and the social networking websites, in particular Facebook, not only in the country, but also across the territory of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) member countries, Hraparak writes. The recent negative moods in Armenia towards the 102nd Russian military base, active striving of Belarus towards the West, as well as the growing anti-Putin moods in Russia are said to be the reason for such plan.
“The aim existed long ago, but the Kremlin also fears that there may be a counter-reaction, and therefore the idée fixe is postponed every time,” a Russian source told the newspaper.
