Erdogan again offers to leave Armenian history to historians
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said that Turkey is interested in the right study and presentation of the events of 1915, Anadolu Agency reports.
Speaking at a symposium during his official visit to Columbia, Erdogan said that the real history has been concealed through political propaganda during 100 years, and again offered to form a commission of historians to study the events of the past.
“The Armenian Diaspora has launched a negative campaign in connection with the 100th anniversary,” said the Turkish leader. “We are always open and sincere, and we want a right study and presentation of the 1915 events.”
