Zhamanak: Russian inflation to affect Armenia’s economy
The Russian Central Bank President has stated that the inflation may exceed 15 percent this year. Such level of inflation will definitely affect Armenia’s economy, Zhamanak writes.
Economist Vilen Khachatryan said that the inflation will have an impact on Armenia’s domestic market and the prices of imported goods will go up.
In his words, currently, the Russian inflation is at 12 percent and it is quite realistic that it may reach 15 percent in the second quarter of the year. He said that except for 750 types of goods, regarding which the decisions have been delayed, the prices of all other types of goods will inevitably rise in Armenia.
