Today is International Day of Marriage Agencies
The International Day of the marriage agencies is celebrated on the eve of St. Valentine’s Day. The holiday was established by the State Department of Intellectual Property in Ukraine on December 1, 2010.
The idea of establishing a new holiday belongs to one of the Ukrainian marriage agencies chosen by many partner agencies of the USA, Canada, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, and Switzerland.
According to some sources, the wedding office “Bureau meetings and addresses” was opened in London on September 29, 1650. And since then, search of a spouse with the help of announcement or dating services has become quite popular.
Every year the number of clients of marriage agencies increases. From questionnaires filled in by hand, slowly but surely, the information moves to web sites on the Internet. Marriage agencies help lonely people find a special person in our busy life.
