Criminal case opened over death of serviceman
Armenia's Investigative Committee has launched a criminal case in connection with the death of junior sergeant Arman Osipyan. The case was opened under Armenian Criminal Code’s Article 365 part 3 (violation of military duty or military service rules that result in grave consequences).
Around 4:40 am on February 14, soldier of the Karabakh Defense Army Arman Osipyan received a fatal gunshot wound on the frontline position of a military unit in the northeastern direction of the Defense Army, the press service of the NKR Defense Ministry said.
An investigation is underway to clarify details of the incident.
