A Wyoming woman recieved a bouquet of flowers for Valentine’s Day from her deceased husband, Sputnik reports.

Shelly Golay from Casper, Wyoming, received Valentine’s Day flowers from her husband Jim Golay, almost a year after he died.

Jim Golay was 53 years old when he died last February from a brain tumor. However, his widow was presented with a bouquet of flowers two days before the holiday. Shelly was surprised and first thought her children probably sent them.

In attempt to find out who actually sent the flowers, Shelly called the local flower shop to see if it was a mistake, and to her surprise discovered that Jim had ordered them before his death last summer.

The flower shop informed Shelly that Jim, in a gesture of his undying love, made an arrangement to send her flowers every year on Valentine’s Day.

"It was true love and you just don't find that very often," Shelly Golay said to KCWY. "Even though we didn't get the fairy tale ending – it was amazing."
