Armenian-Turkish protocols had no future – analyst
The Armenian President’s decision to withdraw the Armenian-Turkish protocols from parliament must be viewed in the context of the upcoming 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, political analyst Alexander Iskandaryan told reporters on Thursday.
He stressed that the President withdrew not the signatures, but the documents, adding that this will not lead to any serious changes since these documents had no future.
Regarding the U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland’s regional tour, Iskandaryan said, “Her visit was conditioned by the regional problems. Besides, this was an attempt by the United States to influence the tense situation between Armenia and Azerbaijan.”
