Expert: Authorities can influence Tsarukyan’s decisions
The recent domestic political developments were expected and their outcome was expected as well, political analyst Alexander Iskandaryan said.
“The public needed revolutionary rhetoric and as a result, these events occurred. We shall see what will happen next,” he told reporters on Thursday.
Iskandaryan added that this situation is not happening for the first time, and recalled the situation when Prosperous Armenia Party leader Gagik Tsarukyan decided not to run in the presidential elections of 2013.
According to him, the three non-government parties failed to influence the political situation. Meanwhile, the analyst said that “in fact, the authorities can influence Tsarukyan and his decisions.”
