Local elections campaign kicks off in Armenia
The campaign for local elections in several Armenian communities, due on March 15, kicked off on Wednesday.
The press service of Armenia’s Central Electoral Commission reported earlier that local elections will be held in a total of 33 communities of Aragatsotn, Ararat, Armavir, Gegharkunik, Kotayk, Shirak, Syunik, Vayots Dzor, and Tavush provinces.
In 25 communities residents will elect head, in 6 communities voters will cast ballots to elect municipal council members, and 2 communities will elect both head and members of municipal council.
