Zhoghovurd: Naira Zohrabyan to head Prosperous Armenia
Following resignation of Prosperous Armenia Party leader Gagik Tsarukyan during the party’s special congress on March 5, Naira Zohrabyan will be elected new head of the party, Zhoghovurd reports. Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan is behind the proposal of appointing Mrs Zohrabyan to that position, the newspaper notes.
“During a recent meeting, the Prime Minister briefed Zohrabyan on the terms under which the position of Prosperous Armenia chairman will be entrusted to her. Given the fact that the political decision to appoint Zohrabyan has been made, it is supposed that she accepted the terms presented,” the newspaper says.
