Iraqi Defense Minister: We are close to defeating ISIS in Mosul
Iraqi Defense Minister Khaled al-Obeidi said that the situation in Mosul is very suitable to begin the operation of liberation of the city from the ISIS terrorist gangs, IraqiNews.com reports.
Al-Obeidi said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “The military plans to liberate the city of Mosul from ISIS are ready, but we cannot reveal the operation date and time to even some parties within the military establishment,” noting that, “The victory is near.”
He stated that the majority of Mosul’s people will join the security forces in their battles because of the crimes committed by ISIS.
“The victory over terrorism will be during 2015,” al-Obeidi added.
