Armenian chess players at European Championship
Armenia’s Gabriel Sargissian drew with Russia’s Ilia Iljiushenok in Round 10 of the European Individual Chess Championship ongoing in Jerusalem. Vladimir Akopian drew with Ante Brkic of Croatia.
Sargissian is currently 12th with 7 points, while Akopian is 28th with 6.5 points. Sargissian is one point behind the leader, Evgeniy Najer of Russia.
