Hraparak: Gurgen Arsenyan visits presidential residence
Gurgen Arsenyan, member of Prosperous Armenia parliamentary faction, recently visited the presidential residence to inquire about the attitude to him and his United Labor Party, Hraparak reports.
“It is no secret that not being a representative of the power, Arsenyan has always shown a special attitude to the President, and was the only member of the Prosperous Armenia parliamentary faction who not only did not boycott the last presidential elections, but also congratulated Serzh Sargsyan the next day of the elections,” the newspaper notes.
The newspaper’s sources say that during the last meeting of Prosperous Armenia Gurgen Arsenyan spoke against Naira Zohrabyan’s appointment as party’s chairperson. “However, when Tsarukyan offered him to head Prosperous Armenia, he refused. The next day Arsenyan offered Tsarukyan to appoint him head of the parliamentary faction, but Tsarukyan rejected his offer,” the newspaper says.
