Edward Sharmazanov attends Armenian Genocide Centennial concert in Estonia
Deputy Speaker of Armenian National Assembly, head of Armenia-Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia Parliamentary Friendship Group Eduard Sharmazanov on Thursday visited the town of Haapsalu of Estonia, met with the children of the local orphanage and handed presents to the children, the Armenian parliament’s press service reported.
Armenian Ambassador to the Baltic countries Ara Ayvazyan, spiritual leader of the Armenian Apostolic Church in the Baltic States, Father Khosrov Stepanyan, head of the Armenian community in Estonia Razmik Ivanian and representatives of the Armenian community were accompanying Mr Sharmazanov.
Edward Sharmazanov laid a wreath at the cross-stone erected in 2014 to the memory of Estonian missionary Anna Hedvig Büll, who had devoted her life to saving the Armenians of the Middle East from the Armenian Genocide.
On the same day, Edward Sharmazanov attended the concert “With You, Armenia” dedicated to the Armenian Genocide Centennial in the St John’s Church of Tallinn, to which Vice President of the Parliament of the Republic of Estonia Laine Randjärv and the Minister of Environment of Estonia Mati Raidma were also invited.
Edward Sharmazanov also visited St Gregory the Illuminator Armenian Apostolic Church of Tallinn.
