Zhamanak: Gas prices will not rise
Citing a source close to the government, Zhamanak reports that the Armenian authorities have reached an agreement with Russia’s Gazprom on reducing the price of gas which is supplied to Armenia to 165 dollars from 189 dollars.
This will enable not to increase the price of gas supplied to the population, expected due to the depreciation of the Armenian dram, the newspaper says.
However, the issue of increasing the electricity prices is again in the forefront due to the serious financial problems of Electric Networks of Armenia, the newspaper concludes.
