Hraparak: Number of MPs may be reduced under constitutional amendments
The package of constitutional amendments has interesting nuances. Besides the fact that it is proposed to shift to rating voting in the majority system, the number of MPs will also be reduced, Hraparak reports.
“At the current stage of discussions, there is a plan to reduce the number of MPs to 121, but this plan may be changed as a result of the discussions and the number of parliamentarians may be left unchanged.
“Everything depends on the outcome of discussions, on the “conduct” of parties and, most importantly, on the behind-the-scene decision of the authorities on what parties will have seats in the parliament and how many representatives they will have,” the newspaper says.
