Baghdasaryan: Parliamentary system of government is model of future
The parliamentary system of government is a model of the future, head of Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) parliamentary faction Vahram Baghdasaryan told reporters on Tuesday, commenting on the constitutional reform process in Armenia.
“Many have expressed their discontent with the current system of government,” Baghdasaryan said, adding that the political forces that now oppose the constitutional reform previously pointed to the necessity of switching to the parliamentary system of government.
In his words, these political forces state that they are against the parliamentary system of government because they have a candidate and he has to become president.
As regards concerns about a number of provisions of the concept of constitutional reform, Baghdasaryan said that they do indeed have some concerns and therefore the discussions go on.
