Hraparak: Turkish side did everything possible so that Putin goes to Turkey on April 24
Russian President Vladimir Putin’s early statement on visiting Armenia on April 24 was to some extent unexpected for Armenia, Hraparak writes.
“The point is that the Turkish side did everything possible so that Putin visits Turkey on April 24 to attend the 100th anniversary commemorations of the Battle of Gallipoli, which would be its trump card against the Genocide. The Putin administration announced early about visiting Yerevan in order to introduce clarity into this issue and not to cause speculation in Armenia,” the newspaper says.
