Hraparak: Armenian hotels raise prices ahead of April 24
Armenian hotels have raised their prices ahead of April 24 and there are no vacant rooms, Hraparak reported. While daily price for a luxury Yerevan hotel room was 60,000-80,000 drams, now the price has risen to 120,000-200,000 drams. Hotels say that the price increase is seasonal or the demand is high, which is the reason of the price increase.
According to Hraparak, a high-level meeting with the hotel managers is planned. The government, however, has no levers to influence hotel prices, although it is trying to do something about this.
The expenses of several guests will be covered from the country’s budget, the newspaper adds.
