Armenian Defense Ministry advises to follow official reports and not to rewrite Azerbaijani propaganda
Azerbaijani media have spread disinformation about ‘new armed clashes and 5 losses on the Armenian side which the Ministry of Defense of Armenia hides.’ Artsrun Hovhannisyan, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense of Armenia, denied the disinformation and highlighted that the Azerbaijani side has long proved that it can never be trusted.
The spokesperson of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia once again told the correspondent of Panorama.am that hiding losses in the Armenian Armed Forces and provocations of any sort in the information field contradict the position of the Armenian side and are excluded as a method from their actions.
“Once again, and hopefully, for the last time I declare: under no circumstances the Armenian Ministry of Defense and NKR Defense Army will hide the losses of the Armenian side, moreover – the loss of 5 people. Ponder on that number. I advise those interested in the situation in the frontline follow the official reports of the Armenian Ministry of Defense and NKR Defense Army. I call on the Armenian media and online outlets not to rewrite the disinformation of the Azerbaijani sources and not to rebroadcast anti-Armenian propaganda and rhetoric into the national information platform,” Artsrun Hovhannisyan stated.
Recently Azerbaijani information outlet Haqqin.az published disinformation about an alleged confrontation between the residents of village Talish of Martakert district, Nagorno Karabakh Republic, and soldiers ‘of special forces of elite subdivisions of Armenian Armed Forces,’ citing Talish village headman, Vilen Petrosyan. However, talking to Panorama.am, Tallish village headman denied the information of the Azerbaijani site calling it ‘utter nonsense.’
