‘We are ready’ - Demoyan on organizing exhibitions in Turkey
Exhibitions dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide were and will be organized in the biggest countries of all continents, director of Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute Hayk Demoyan told reporters on Monday.
Demoyan said that large exhibitions dedicated to the Armenian Genocide will open in Paris, California and Mexico in the near future.
A temporary exhibition titled “Armenia 1915. Paris Hosts Collection of Yerevan’s Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute” will open at Paris Municipality on April 29. The exhibition will run until July 4.
An exhibition will open at Moscow’s Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War on April 20.
Asked whether any event is planned in Turkey, Demoyan said that last year representatives of Turkey’s progressive circles began to negotiate with them about organizing two exhibitions in Istanbul.
Demoyan added that they are ready: when the Turkish side says that they have prepared an exhibition hall and they are providing security guarantees, the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute will provide exhibits.
